Join the PTA: We Can Do More Together

Carlsbad Unified families,

One of the easiest ways to stay involved in your child’s education and stay informed about what’s happening at school is by joining your school’s PTA/PTSA.

Serving as a vital link between parents and schools, teachers and staff, the PTA/PTSA relies on membership, volunteers, and donations to support our students, teachers, and staff, and to connect our families with their school communities. 

In Carlsbad Unified Schools, the PTA/PTSA raises hundreds of thousands of dollars and contributes more than a million dollars worth of volunteer hours each year. Thanks to our CUSD families, this generosity makes a significant impact at every school and at every grade level.

Many of the events and programs CUSD families know and love are funded and supported by PTA. At the elementary level, this includes family engagement nights, holiday events and celebrations, dances, movie nights, book fairs, spirit wear, teacher and staff appreciation and grants, classroom field trips, cultural and community events, room parents, and even crucial salary support for specialty teachers. At the secondary level, PTSA organizes and supports back-to-school registration, college and career nights, parent information sessions, teacher and student grants, community newsletters, staff appreciation events, and much more. 

While direct donations are always welcome, we hope every CUSD family will take a minute today and join their PTA because we can do more together.
